Mission Statement
Pickleball Advocacy Richmond Hill represents residents who want access to one of Canada’s fastest-growing sports.
While participation has exploded, Richmond Hill has fallen behind. Instead of building proper facilities, the City has relied on short-term fixes — lining tennis courts, painting arena floors, and creating temporary summer options. These may help a few players, but they don’t come close to meeting community demand or providing safe, dedicated year-round play.
The City’s decision to combine tennis and pickleball into one long-term “strategy” has slowed real progress. Tennis already had a plan in 2016 that was never fully implemented, and pickleball deserves a focused approach of its own.
Our goal is to work respectfully and constructively with City staff and Council to ensure pickleball receives the investment, planning, and infrastructure it needs. Together, we can build a Richmond Hill that values active living, community connection, and a place for everyone to play.
